The Hotel Yearbook is published on behalf of Switzerland’s world-renowned Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) by Woody Wade, who, in addition to editing and publishing the Yearbook, works with executives in the hospitality industry to develop future scenarios describing the competitive landscape ten years from now, an integral part of their strategic planning process. He is also the author of "Scenario Planning: A Field Guide to the Future."
Assisting on matters of content development and business strategy is a high-level Advisory Board currently consisting of the following members:
The credibility of The Hotel Yearbook depends on the quality and objectivity of its articles, which are all contributed by industry insiders. These articles represent a cross-section of different perspectives and opinions concerning the near-term future of the hotel industry, so they should highlight viewpoints and opportunities that are relevant for the whole industry, and not just those of a single company. For this reason, an Editorial Board was established to make sure that individual contributions meet reasonable standards of objectivity and fulfill the Yearbook’s aim of focusing on future developments that affect the industry as a whole, and not only on the achievements or plans of any one company or organization. Vetting all submissions is the Editorial Board consisting of Michel Rochat, Director General of EHL, Prof. Ray Iunius, Head of EHL’s Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (INTEHL), and Kevin Kearney, an independent consultant to the hospitality industry. |
