For the 2010 edition of The Hotel Yearbook, we are putting together a special Southern Africa section, which is especially timely because
South Africa will be hosting the 2010 World Cup in football (soccer) which is expected to be a huge draw, significantly affecting the hotel business.

Trevor Ward, Managing Director of W Hospitality Group, is spearheading the supplement and will be contributing his own take on the outlook for hotel group pipelines in the region.  He’ll also take a specific look at Angola. 

The other authors contributing to the Southern Africa supplement are:

 

  • Jackie Asheeke of the Federation of Namibian Tourism Associations, who will give us the viewpoint from an important destination market neighboring South Africa. 
  • Phillip Barttram of Old Mutual, a regional bank, will discuss the current and future funding climate for hotel sin South Africa and other countries in the region.
