Hotel Yearbook: Dubai UAE 2027

5 October 2017|The Hotel Yearbook team is pleased to announce an all-new editorial venture, breaking new ground for our 11 year- old family of publications. In October 2017, we will publish “Hotel Yearbook: Dubai UAE 2027”, a Special Edition focusing on a single hotel market a decade in the future. This is the first time that the Hotel Yearbook will concentrate on just one destination in depth, and look so far out into its future.“Hotel Yearbook: Dubai UAE 2027” will examine scenarios not only for the future of Dubai’s and UAE's hotel business itself, but also the drivers that give this sector its impulses: UAE's dynamic business landscape, urban growth and tourism concepts and transportation infrastructure. Another first: The publication of the Special Edition will take place at an exclusive forum of regional hotel industry leaders who will gather to discuss scenarios for Dubai in 2027. This half-day event is being hosted by the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in October 2017.

With joint American and Taiwanese nationality, Judy has over 20 years’ experience at some of the finest brands in international hospitality and higher education organisations in the USA, Asia and Europe. On the hotel side Judy worked with Swissôtel, Park Hyatt and Mandarin Oriental; and on the education side with Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, the School of Hotel & Tourism Management at the Hotel Polytechnic University in Hong Kong and Les Roches Jin Jiang International Hotel Management College in Shanghai, part of Laureate International Universities network. Her most recent position was the CEO of the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Judy graduated from Columbia University in New York, has a master’s degree in Business Hospitality Administration from Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and is currently working towards a doctorate in Business Administration from Walden University. Her publications have included works on digital marketing, brand loyalty and ‘Gen Y’ in leading hospitality and management journals. As well as being an in-demand speaker and lecturer on hospitality management, she has also sat on editorial, advisory and management boards of a number of institutions in the sector.
